The product and the price

A HermesBox is an assembled computing appliance: compute 67 TOPS, memory 8 GB, storage 512 GB, draw 20 W, model class 8B, throughput 14 tok/s, runtime Ollama, cooling Active. It is supplied with the software described on the home page.

The price is €549 per unit. That figure is the total you pay — EU VAT and delivery are included, and no charge is added at checkout. There is no subscription and no recurring payment of any kind.

Model usage is not included and is not ours to sell. You connect your own Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter account. Those providers bill you directly at their own rates under their own terms; we take no commission and operate no proxy. If a provider changes its pricing, terms or availability, that is between you and them.

Placing an order

Selecting a quantity and completing Stripe Checkout is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we send you an order confirmation by email. If we cannot fulfil an order — stock, an address we can't ship to, a pricing error that was obvious — we will tell you and refund in full.

Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Delivery

Dispatched from Bulgaria to the EU, UK, Switzerland and Norway, normally within 2–5 working days of the order. Delivery is free and included in the price.

Risk passes to you on delivery. If the courier hasn't arrived within 30 days, you may give us a reasonable further period and, if we miss that too, cancel and be refunded in full.

Your right to change your mind

As a consumer you have 14 days from the day the box reaches you to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason, under the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU. Tell us by any clear statement — an email to hello@hermesbox.tech is enough. You then have 14 days to send the goods back.

We voluntarily extend this to 30 days. Inside that window we refund the full price, including the original delivery cost, within 14 days of getting the box back or of proof that you sent it. No form, no restocking fee, no explanation required.

You pay the cost of returning it, and you are liable only for any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to establish how the product works — the same standard as trying it in a shop. Setting it up, connecting your keys and running work through it is exactly what the window is for and does not count.

If it turns out to be faulty

You have a statutory guarantee of conformity of 2 yearsfrom delivery under Directive (EU) 2019/771. If the product doesn't match what was described here or doesn't work as it should, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced free of charge and, where that fails or isn't possible, to a price reduction or a refund.

This is a legal right and it sits alongside — never instead of — the 30-day return promise above. Email us and we'll arrange it.

Software and open source

The box runs open-source components including Ollama and llama.cpp, each under its own licence, which travel with the device. Model weights supplied on the drive are licensed by their respective publishers and your use of them is subject to those licences.

Claude, GPT, Gemini and OpenRouter are trademarks of their owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting as an agent for any of them — you connect your own account with your own key.

Liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We do not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer.

We are not liable for the output of any AI model, for decisions taken on the strength of it, or for a third-party provider's service being changed, priced differently or withdrawn.

Complaints and disputes

Email hello@hermesbox.techfirst — most things are settled there. If we can't resolve it, you may refer the dispute to the General Conciliation Commission, Commission for Consumer Protection (Bulgaria), free of charge.

These terms are governed by Bulgarian law, and nothing in this clause removes your right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
